Dubai has partnered with some tech giants in order to launch a national plan of attracting, training coders and create 1000 digital companies within five years.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said that tech giants such as Google, Facebook and Amazon has signed an agreement to train 100,000 coders.

“We launched a national programme for coders with Google, Microsoft, Amazon AWS, Cisco, IBM, HPE, LinkedIn, Nvidia & Facebook with aims to train 100,000 coders, establish 1,000 tech companies that will go global, & increase start-up investments from Dh1.5 billion to Dh4 billion,” Sheikh Mohammed posted via Twitter.

Golden visa will be given to business owners and start-ups that specializes in coding.

This new programme is open to people based abroad and UAE residents to attract the best qualified coders around the world.

Coders of all nationalities and age groups may apply for the UAE golden visa through The Office of Artificial Intelligence in the UAE government or the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship
