Breast cancer is one of the most common type of cancer among women. It is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the breast. In the United States, 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime as per studies. And although rare, men get breast cancer too. According to the National Breast Cancer Organization, the lifetime risk for US men is about 1 in 1,000.
Detecting breast cancer at an early stage, when treatment is more likely to be successful, still provides the best hope for survival. Hence, today, Oryx World Business Centre along with its clients support the breast cancer awareness this month. Clients wore pink shirts and put on pink ribbons to show their support. But above all, clients and employees were given information sheets about breast cancer for both male and female to promote awareness to everyone.
